====== Tarot for Intimacy (explicit) ====== Tarot is particularly helpful for working through emotional and psychological concerns, because it enables the reader to assess a given situation from new angles, considering factors that might have been previously missed or not given due attention. This makes it a useful tool for tackling issues related to intimacy and sexuality. I've created spreads for men and women for these scenarios. As the imagery in a deck can pretty significantly influence the reading and how the cards are interpreted, I think it can be helpful to use adult decks with these spreads. There are a good number of decks on the market with unashamed nudity, such as the tarot:decks:alchemical and tarot:decks:celtic decks, but these tend more toward illustrative rather than titillating images, with nude figures frequently representing virtue, integrity, and purity. Sexually-themed decks, on the other hand, depict explicit scenes of human sexuality. As of now (2023), there are only a handful of sexually explicit tarot decks in the US market. You can browse a selection of these decks below. Unfortunately, every erotic deck I've seen includes a lot of degenerate and violent scenes, which I find unappealing and inappropriate for the kinds of readings I do. The tarot:decks:sexual deck is the least offensive in this capacity, although it does have a few questionable images. The tarot:decks:erotic deck is the least offensive, but it's not as sexually explicit, either. It's mostly just exposed breasts and butts. Other erotic decks not shown here include Tarot of Casanova, Tarot of Forbidden Dreams, Sensual Wicca Tarot, and Tarot of the Nymphs. ===== The Decks ===== This deck is based on a collection of 14th-century Italian stories titled //Decameron//, written by Giovanni Boccaccio. I'm not familiar with these stories, so I don't know how accurate the imagery is when held up against the text. Like the tarot:decks:manara deck, there are numerous depictions of rape, as well as voyeurism and multi-partner scenes.

This deck is more //sensual// than //sexual//.

This deck uses the work of an erotic comic book artist named Milo Manara. It incorporates many elements of modern life and, like the tarot:decks:decameron deck, depicts many scenes of rape and voyeurism.

This deck features erotic illustrations by Mauro De Luca. While there are several cards depicting rape and voyeurism, the overall mood of this deck is significantly more positive and less coercive than the sexual scenes depicted in both the tarot:decks:decameron and tarot:decks:manara decks. Most of the sexual encounters here feature loving, consensual pairings.
