Deck Notes

This is a pretty cool deck - the imagery is inspired by Germanic and Norse folk beliefs and practices, which is something I've become very interested in pursuing myself. The cards are oversized - about 3×5“, which makes them harder for me to shuffle.
), and knew when I bought this deck that his cartoony face aesthetic wasn't my favorite. That hasn't changed, but the depth of his imagery is growing on me, and I've used this deck for a few readings for my husband with excellent results on his part. He's easily put off by deck art, and he's gotten something out of every reading we've done with this deck.

The book is top notch - every single card is given equal attention to the detail and nuance of its imagery, and the card descriptions include reversals. I don't read with reversals, but that doesn't mean I don't use reversal descriptions when they're provided - the shadow side of things can be highly relevant to a reading, depending on the context of the question and selected spread.

Production Quality

The book and cards are very well-made, but I have two complaints: the packaging is, like the Wildwood deck, useless for deck storage, and the cards are just too big. They're mega-oversized at nearly 3.5×5.75“ - I ended up trimming the white border from all my cards (I recommend using a good, nonslip ruler like this Cricut aluminum model, and a brand-new blade in your knife - the glossy finish of the cards makes them a bad candidate for even precision guillotine and rotary paper trimmers), and rounding the corners with this sweet Japanese rounded corner paper punch.

This is another deck put out by a small publishing house, and the attention to quality and detail definitely shows.
