This was an impulse buy on a clearance rack at Barnes & Noble, and it's really no surprise that's where I found it - this deck is terrible. The artwork is mostly photo collages with Photoshop filters applied, which is one of my least favorite aesthetics. The book has a lot of content, but the deck style and images chosen just make no sense at all to me. The book is comprehensive and very well-made, but the terrible artwork and tenuous correlations to Holmesian characters make the overall effect less than optimal.

This deck is now out-of-print and worth around $75 on the used market.

Production Quality

The cards themselves are well-made, but they're also oversize, at almost 3×5“. The deck comes in the same style packaging found in the Wildwood Tarotplugin-autotooltip__default plugin-autotooltip_bigWildwood Tarot

Deck Notes

This is a pretty cool deck - the imagery is inspired by Germanic and Norse folk beliefs and practices, which is something I've become very interested in pursuing myself. The cards are oversized - about 3×5“, which makes them harder for me to shuffle.
(another Sterling Ethos production) - the cards are divided into two stacks set in a plastic tray.
