Spread Notes

The three-card spread is one of the most commonly-used spreads in the Tarot world. The three cards can represent a variety of concepts: past-present-future, a decision with two major options and potential outcomes, even communication and interaction between different people. The images on the cards can frequently aid you in determining the meaning of a three-card spread, so you don't necessarily have to decide what each position means before you lay the cards.
spread, taking two cards for each stage, rather than one. I usually find that two cards are better than one, as combining two images gives more context to what messages apply to the given situation.
