This is the first tarot deck I ever bought - it was an impulse purchase at my local Barnes & Noble. While we were waiting in the checkout line, I noticed this kit in one of the racks nearby, and my husband suggested I get it, since I mentioned I'd always been curious about tarot, given my upbringing.
This is a silly deck, and I don't really recommend it for anyone seriously interested in Tarot as a hobby or practice. The cards essentially portray a condensed, iconographic summary of the standard Smith-Waite rubric. I don't really find them useful for reading.
Production Quality
The deck itself is pretty well-made. The cards are glossy cardstock, and shuffle fairly easily, although the nearly-square dimensions are a bit of a challenge. The included LWB has short descriptions with reversals for each card - it's at least more descriptive than most Lo Scarabeo LWBs.
